Mystery Tales 40 comic - Page 1A promise is a promise so here you have the first page of "The Hidden Land" story of the Mystery Tales 40 comic book seen on Lost 4x11 Cabin Fever.

After reading this first page some interesting and intriguing stuff came to our minds:

  • The main character Fredd Phipps works as a bookkeeper, as the Lost character John Locke did.
  • His boss, Mr. Castin, is a succesful bussines man ( like Charles Widmore? ), but has such an unhappy life despite all its money: the same thing that happened with Hugo Reyes.
  • Fredd Phipps reminds us somehow to Ben Linus, doesn't he?

What do you think about it? Any hypothesis? We are looking forward to reading them all.

Stay tunned for the second Mystery Tales 40 scan page coming tomorrow.

Edited: Mystery Tales 40 page 2

wtf!  y u not post it all
this is a bunch of total crap
whats the deal
Anónimo 23/05/2008 at 00:09
Hey, why is this taking so long? I mean, we're grateful you guys are doing this, but scanning is a simple task that even my 90 year old grandma could accomplish in one day.

Are you guys just milking this for banner clicks or something?

I think it is very cool that you are only giving us a page at a time.  It gives me time to let it sink in.
Nancy Drew Nancy Drew 23/05/2008 at 04:58
At least put up an entire section at once. There are 7 sections if I recall. So it's going to take a month if you go page by page. This way we get a whole section to read and stew over each day for an entire week.
DR DR 23/05/2008 at 06:37
But I do appreciate you guys putting this up here. The site looks great too.
DR DR 23/05/2008 at 06:40
Give these guys a break!

To all those complaining, just consider this: they bought it, and they get to decide how to show it. I see no ads or banners here, so they're not milking anything and, even if they did, we all know how this works and that clicks and all are needed by the websites.

Had I paid over $400 for the comic, sure thing I'd try to get some fun, if not some money as well.
BlackSmoker 23/05/2008 at 08:29
Great job guys!
Forget the people who complain, they have no right anyway
Thanks for sharing what you have.

Great work guys!

I think you should definitely remove the watermark, it already says "scanned by..." at the top :)

Es cierto que tal vez estéis tardando demasiado en subir las páginas, si en cada post subieseis tres estaría mejor. En cualquier caso, pasad de estos imbéciles y hacer las cosas a vuestro ritmo, bastante mérito tenéis ya.
For english speakers: Are you paying this guys for what they're doing? As I guess the answer is no, you have no right on being so stubborn and impatient. They don't live for this and they sure are busy with other stuff.

Just a pet peeve: if you write "stay tuned" again, it's only one N, not two. At first I thought it was a typo, but you've done it three times now.

@FancyFroglin: Thanks for the tip!

No bananas for Timmy today ;)
There was a dead body on a hill and a package next to it. How did he die?

Lol! I remember reading that Comic book back in the 60's when I was 16! I actually thought I was the only one who remember it, I'm glad to see that I'm not alone!

By the way I also remember reading another book from that series could you upload it, it's called "Mystery tales: Locked Door"
